1. Who we are
Swiss Bank AG ("we", "us") is a private banking institution registered in Zürich, Switzerland. This policy explains how we handle personal data of visitors to our website and clients of our services, in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Data we collect
- Contact form: name, surname, date of birth, country, phone, email and the message you send us.
- Client relationships: identity documents, tax residency, source of wealth, and transaction records — as required by Swiss banking law.
- Technical data: minimal server logs (IP address, user-agent, timestamp) retained for security and abuse prevention.
3. Why we process it
To respond to your enquiries, deliver contracted services, comply with legal obligations (AML/KYC, tax reporting, court orders), and defend our legitimate interests (fraud prevention, information security).
4. Who we share it with
Only with (a) regulators and tax authorities where mandated by Swiss law, (b) our carefully vetted processors under data-processing agreements (hosting, email delivery, identity verification), and (c) your named beneficiaries or attorneys-in-fact when you instruct us to. We do not sell personal data. Ever.
5. Where we keep it
Data is stored on servers located in Switzerland and the European Economic Area. Any transfer outside those regions is governed by Swiss FADP adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
Contact-form messages: 24 months. Client records: 10 years after the end of the relationship, as required by the Swiss Code of Obligations. Technical logs: 90 days.
7. Your rights
You may access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and object to its processing, subject to overriding legal obligations. Write to privacy@swiss-bank.eu and we will respond within 30 days.
8. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and secure. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
9. Complaints
You may lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Bern, or with your local EU supervisory authority.
